March 5, 2022 (New York, NY) Founder of New Generation In Action’s AFI World Peace Initiative (NGIA-AFIWPI), Her Royal Majesty Queen Angelique-Monet Gureje-Thompson of Eti-Oni, Osun State Nigeria will deliver a statement both oral (recorded, and written) during the sixty-sixth Commission on Status of Women (CSW) and priority theme of  “Achieving gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk policies programmes, and review theme “women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work.

Her Royal Majesty Queen Angelique-Monet of Eti-Oni at The Kingdom of Eti-Oni’s cocoa plantation located in the tropical rainforest of Eti-Oni, Osun State Southwest Nigeria. The Kingdom of Eti-Oni is the oldest cocoa plantation in Nigeria.

The Queen Angelique-Monet focus is how NGIA-AFIWPI is utilizing “films of purpose,” to address deforestation, climate change, and gender equality put together by international influencers and partnerships with film festivals and year round thematic programming. The organization began a unique partnership in 2021 during Her Royal Majesty’s first official public engagement during 8th The Cocoa Festival Founded by husband His Majesty the Oloni of Eti-Oni, Oba (King) Dokun Thompson, Gureje IV. Their Royal Majesties founded the Royal Cocoa International Film Festivals (RCIFF). RCIFF is the first film festival founded by a Monarchy, the first film festival in Nigeria hosting two film festivals (Lagos and Kingdom of Eti-Oni),festivals in other countries, and the first film festival to focus awareness on cocoa farmers not only at the Kingdom of Eti-Oni but cocoa farms world-wide. Additional aid through the partnership will help women cocoa farmers in cocoa producing regions with health care, check-up awareness, farmers business and field schools, and data research.

The sixty-sixth session of Commission on Status of Women (CSW66) is scheduled from March 14-25, 2022 where Queen Angelique-Monet will be participating in the sessions in addition to having made a statement. The sixty-sixth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will take place from 14 to 25 March 2022. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, CSW66 will take place in a hybrid format. All side events and parallel events will be fully virtual.
