Her Royal Majesty Queen Angelique-Monét Gureje-Thompson

Her Royal Majesty Queen Angelique-Monét Gureje-Thompson (Yeyeluwa Olori of Eti-Oni) is the American born wife of Nigerian monarch, His Majesty the Oloni of Eti-Oni, Oba Dokun Thompson Gureje IV. She is an ex beauty queen, master ventriloquist, actress, former model, film producer, celebrity television hostess, singer, musician with a long standing humanitarian background since childhood and a multiple award winning Living Legend by the Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) for her contribution to the arts. She was born in Nashville Tennessee, and raised in Greenville, South Carolina in a political household of civil rights leaders. She was raised by her late Mother and her maternal grandparents, Senator Theo Walker Mitchell, the second African American in United States history to receive a nomination from a major party (Democratic Party) for Governor (80s) since Reconstruction, and while her paternal grand-father was the Co-Vice Chairman of the Republican Party in the 80s.

As a shy girl who was bullied she overcame obstacles through the art of mastering ventriloquism and classical music which was her talent in beauty pageants that landed her the State Title and top 10 in the Nationals. She went on to graduate from Saint Augustine’s University, North Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in mass communications. While in college she pursued a journalism career and worked for NBC, CBS, ABC and UPN in top markets behind and in front of the scenes. In order to pursue a career in stage acting she moved to New York City and shortly made history as the only stage actress ventriloquist to ever act in a one woman play in Theatre Row for a traditional Off Broadway run at the start of the Millennium when the art form was not as popular. It has been recorded that this historical production changed modern day ventriloquism. Seeing the need for minority women to tell their own stories, she founded Greta Joanne Entertainment, a USA based boutique film production, film sales agent, public relations, media, and event design company. To date the company has produced, distributed and provided public relations services for many films with Hollywood names and international foreign pictures.
