AFI: New Generation in Action

Our Programs

The organization annually holds global events to achieve its philanthropic goals. NGIA, the United Nations, and AFI members dedicate themselves to the unified goal of achieving world peace through tolerance awareness. The signature AFI World Peace Initiative works alongside Marche Du Film during Festival de Cannes where it holds the globally recognized World Peace and Tolerance Awards during the festival each year. The event holds a film screening showcase to honor “Films of Purpose,” which acknowledges filmmakers for their contributions to world peace with the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement for Humanitarian & Arts” award.

This year promises even more celebrations as we achieve world peace through the arts by coexisting and thriving together in a more diverse and a more inclusive global community of creative minds.

Film Startup Fund

The organization established a fund that assists in production, exhibition, distribution of films that meet our general mission and will be exhibited within our on-line platforms, and utilized in universities and schools. The line up in films include where Angelique Monet was Executive Producer and a series of films made on the cell phone.

Touring Films

Touring Films are films that have agreed to be a part of thematic programming globally in an effort to create world peace, historical remembrance, environmental/conservation, or diversity. Each film is set to facilitate a specific area of our goals. (HRH Princess) Angelique Monet also served as Executive Producer where noted.

Smartphone Cinema (NGIA)

Programs for Children and Youths

Youth programs include assisting “youthpreneurs” with mentorships and platforms to exhibit their goals. Several programs have been implemented in a partnership with UNESCO Center for Global Education this includes workshops and bringing youth to the United Nations on “Children’s Day” to have a tour of the United Nations and innovative speakers.

Children's Day

Partnership with youth day speakers. Youth from inner city receive a tour of the United Nations followed by a program of diplomats and speakers where youth attend. Monet speaks to the youth on self-esteem and believing in themselves.

Youthpreneurs

Youth programs include assisting “youthpreneurs” with mentorships and platforms to exhibit their goals. Children and the Arts

Various initiatives to support children in the arts. This includes exhibition and having a platform for youth to exhibit their works.

Youth Films

Youth filmmakers are honored and promoted during Festival de Cannes and provided mentorship and opportunities to participate in partner programs

Film Festivals

Youth film festivals dedicated to smartphone storytelling launched at UNESCO Center for Peace and additional programs will include Cannes, London, and New York.

Mentorship

Mentorship for up and coming filmmakers and artist receive mentorship and in-kind support. Global Education at the Nigeria House on May 24, 2019. Monet mentored women who shot films on the cell phone to describe domestic violence in Nigeria and how short films shot on the cell phone can promote NGO’s quickly.

Services

Services are available for public relations, alternative film distribution support, book writing services, fine art consultations, organising peace events

Covid-19 Initiatives

To raise awareness for COVID 19 the organization has produce books, hosted performances, and COVID 19 Stories where individuals are encouraged to submit their stories made on smart phones for worldwide screening.
