AFI World Peace Initiative Presents The 10th AnnualWorld Peace & Tolerance Gala for the 75th Cannes Film Festival
About the Gala
World Peace & Tolerance Royal Gala
This most prestigious event hosts royals, dignitaries, humanitarians, sustainable leaders, and the entertainment industry elites under one roof. The annual gala has been called the “royal peace event” in honor of its attendees and even greater contributions. The event is often veiled in mystery as honored guests often use their platforms to address the vetted VIPs, distinguished guests and more than 500 in attendance every year.
This year, the World Peace and Tolerance Royal Gala will host special guests from the Kingdom of Eti-Oni, Nigeria. His Royal Majesty King Dokun Thompson will present alongside Her Royal Majesty Queen Angelique-Monet. The Gala will play host to a venue to a red carpet, professional photography and documentarians, an evening of fine dining, a silent auction, stage festivities, and entertainment. The event will conclude with its highly anticipated Films of Purpose tribute to its world-renowned world peace and tolerance industry keynotes for “Film of the Year,” the “Embrace Award, “and the “Lifetime Achievement for Humanitarian & Arts” awards (This year’s nominations will be announced in early 2022).
“How can the entertainment industry and world leaders begin a new narrative that goes beyond destruction to define a new vision of Coexisting and Thriving?”
United Nations Symposium
COEXISTING AND THRIVING
Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes
Join the voices of the entertainment industry, celebrities, influencers, as they join in with corporations, executives, conservationists, and media giants as we take part in a moderated open floor, and open bar discussion, about shaping our future. We will work to utilize film as a voice, which speaks to the world about creative solutions to ignite imaginations, create new technologies and to discover sustainable solutions for our future.
The United Nations Symposium will team up with sustainable energy executives, land trusts preserving rainforest/forest, women empowerment, Indigenous/Tribal groups, conservation groups, leading tech based “think tank,” and artists who will share their story. We will not only create dialogue but discuss solutions on moving forward for the “Sustainable Goals 2030.”
WORLD PEACE & TOLERANCE
Royal Gala Awards
Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes
Each year we host a networking brunch alongside film awards with “films of purpose,” and film veterans at the American Pavilion (Hollywood in Cannes). The event is called “World Peace and Tolerance Brunch.” The American Pavilion is where all American talent “Hollywood,” mingle and participate in panel discussions, parties, and events. The venue is located with panoramic views of the Bay of Cannes and a few steps from Palais de Festival, where all major Film Festivals are premiered.
NGIA’s SMARTPHONE FILM AWARDS
Artisans may not have access to production crews or million-dollar budgets. But most have access to their own creative visions and a smartphone. Over the past twenty years creative souls have explored their passions through social media platforms with nothing more than their minds and their phones. AFI World Peace Initiative finds value in the future distribution of film that is developed using smartphone technologies. This exciting new medium brings us new ways of producing exciting new stories that bring creative ideas and stories of purpose to life.
Our initiative pays tribute to the dauntless individuals who strive to create works of art through new innovative approaches and resources. To honor these creative minds, our initiative celebrates this platform by awarding the significant contributions of our future story tellers and movie makers. NGIA is honored to help showcase for the “Cellphone Cinema Humanitarian Awards,” by pioneer Mr. Karl Bardosh, presenter of the AM ONE Smartphone Film Awards in the Marché du Film.
