Royal Cocoa Festival

A Celebration of Peace, Love & Development

Eti-Oni Cocoa Festival

The Cocoa Festival was birthed to create a renaissance in the cocoa industry towards a more integrated system that will first return dignity and self-worth to cocoa farmers for the younger generation to embrace cocoa farming with pride, create a cocoa culture that will bridge production and consumption and see improved participation in the entire value chain to achieve a sustainable model, that would transform cocoa producing communities in the country and the continent.

It is an initiative of Eti-Oni Development Group (EDG) a community development organization based in the Kingdom of Eti-Oni.

Eti-Oni, described as the “Home of Cocoa” is the oldest cocoa plantation in Nigeria, a town located in Atakumosa East local government area of the State of Osun, South-West Nigeria.  The Cocoa festival is the celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Eti-Oni that continues to attract agro-tourists, agric entrepreneurs and tourists from all over the world to the community.

In its 7th year, the festival has heralded the breaking of cocoa pods, thereby signaling the start of the festival and the main crop harvest season.
