UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION DEVOTED TO WORLD PEACE IS SET TO HOST EVENTS DURING CANNES FILM FESTIVAL FOR 9th YEAR

FilmFestival.com Founder Bruno Chatelin is set to be on the jury of the Karl Bardosh Cell Phone Cinema Humanitarian Award and receive the organizations “Lifetime Achievement Award for “Contributions to Cinema, Arts, and Supporting Filmmakers world-wide.”
On April 14, 2021, Cannes Film Festival announced Marche du Film would move Pre-Festival screenings from May to June 21-25, 2021 and the Film Festival is still scheduled along with Marche du Film, will take place from July 6-15, 2021. This news makes it possible for N.G.I.A.’s AFI World Peace Initiative to continue thematic programming now within its ninth year. Events are scheduled to take place both on-line and in person.
“I am proud despite all going on in the world from COVID-19 to social injustice to climate and environmental issues, we can continue our program without interruption for nine years. We continue to support the Cannes Film Festival and the Marche du Film and the value the organization has brought to our filmmakers and aid for world peace, diversity, social justice, cultural preservation, and ensuring those that are often overlooked and unheard have a voice. We hosted a beautiful and needed World Peace & Tolerance Awards & Summit during Martin Luther King Day this past January 18th, and honoured so many that focus on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King including films. However, it is essential to have our program during the most anticipated and prestigious Film Festival. We are also excited to launch a larger program dedicated to smartphone cinema and the continuation of the Karl Bardosh Cell Phone Cinema Humanitarian Awards. Last year despite being on-line we still managed to host our program and this year we are determined to continue. As it is essential, we thank the Cannes Film Festival and Marche du Film for providing outlets and platforms to ensure our creative industry can sustain and many voices will be heard through the art of film. Another honour is, we are proud to recognize Mr. Bruno Chatelin for his work in film and his long standing support for the filmmaking and film festival community. Certainly individuals like Mr.Chatelin are much appreciated,” stated multi-media talent and Founder H.R.H. Princess Dame Angelique A. Monet.
The organization is also scheduled to participate in the Marche du Film screenings through Monet’s film and sales agency Greta Joanne Entertainment. All films in the awards program will be announced by June 22nd. Two films scheduled to be honored are Two Time Oscar Nominee Barry Alexander Brown’s “Son of the South,” and “The Brazilian Templars Mystery,” (also scheduled for a special screening during Cannes Film Festival and participation in Marche du Film). The two films were also honoured on January 18th during MLK Day World Peace & Tolerance Awards and Summit. A new award will be introduced specific to the two films entitled “Royal Honour Film Merit of Excellence,” a new honour under the Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Dame Angelique A. Monet.
“Son of the South,” represents Monet’s work for social justice and equality, while “The Brazilian Templars Mystery” represents Monet’s passion for ancient discoveries, women empowerment (Dr. Kathleen Ball discovery of a cave hidden in a remote area on the outskirts of a small Brazilian town), Indigenous People stories and Her Royal Highness role as a Diversity, Media and TV Expert for Ordre Des Templiers – Principality of Monaco, Royal Courts, Royal Families, and Ordres.

ABOUT N.G.I.A. AFI WORLD PEACE INITIATIVE
The New Generation In Action (NGIA) AFI World Peace Initiative is an award winning Non Governmental Organization that is recognized with Special Consultative Status by the United Nations through ECOSOC founded by HRH Princess Angelique A. Monet. The NGIA has been utilizing the diversity of media platforms to promote RESPECT and DIGNITY across the broad spectrum of global society regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, or religion. Additional programs include smartphone cinema education and awards, youth, girls & women campaigns, space education for youth and artificial intelligence education. The organization hosts events at the United Nations Headquarters, The Hamptons (USA), Cannes Film Festival, Monaco, and London. Since COVID-19, the organization through partnerships has hosted over 200 hours of on-line meetings, workshops, and training and implemented new programs to combat diversity and inclusion globally.
The organization has taken pride in honoring “films of purpose.” This includes promoting Hollywood celebrities that also create work for the greater good. Previous Celebrities include Ron Perlman (Best Narrator, Forget Us Not), Danny Glover (Best Actor, From Above Former Chasing Shakespeare), Graham Greene (Special Merit Eric Roberts (Best Supporting Actor, Road to the Open), Dougie Doug (Best Historical Narration), the late Peter O’Toole (Legacy Award), Jeff Bridges (Best Narration, Living In The Future’s Past) and also, many other Hollywood celebrities whom we have supported in their work include names such as Isaiah Washington, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Eriq Ebounay.
